The Marketing Innovation Awards, now in its second year are set to return on the 6th March 2012 bringing a spotlight on the innovative brands, agencies & technologies pushing boundaries and shaping the direction in which the industry moves.
The awards reception ceremony will take place at the end of MI EXPO at Altitude 360 creating an arena to bring together the industry to celebrate those excelling in marketing innovation and for the MI Awards winners to take centre stage
New for 2012, we have introduced 7 new award categories which in itself reflects the growth of innovation within the marketing sector and illustrates new depths marketers are adopting to achieve success.
One of the of the awards for 2012 will be community led; members of UTalkMarketing are invited to nominate and vote for their most innovative individual proving a true reflection of successful innovation in the eyes of the end user and audience. With over 140,000 marketing & brand professionals as members of the community, this really is the crème de the crème of recognition.

Entry to the awards & judging process
Submissions for the awards will open on the 3rd October, at which stage members of the UTalkMarketing community are invited to submit their award entry within the relevant category(s).
SUBMISSIONS FOR THE AWARDS WILL CLOSE ON THE 10th FEBRUARY 2012
All entries will be reviewed, with a shortlist being announced on the 15th February 2012 & winners announced during MI EXPO on the 6th March.
During February selected innovation council will form the panel of judges who will be asked to review and score in the below areas for the shortlisted judged categories. Judges will be brought together for an afternoon to share individual results, thoughts & selected winners. By the end of this discussion the winner and runner up for each judged category will have been decided.

UTalkMarketing community choice awards
Following on from the shortlist announcement, voting on utalkmarketing.com will open up for the community to vote for their chosen winner and runner up for the following category
• Most innovative individual 2012
Voting for your chosen winner will open on utalkmarketing.com in February 2012.
All MI Award winners will be announced on the 6th March 2012
How much will it cost to enter the awards
Each award category will have a nominal charge of £75+ vat to enter, excluding entries for the Innovative start-up award 2012.
To enter the innovative start-up award catergory you must be a start-up with 5 staff or less, operating for less than two years, with less than £1 million turnover.
How to enter
- Login to UTalkMarketing.com, if you are not a member you can register here
- Download the awards submission template document from here
- Simply select the award category you would like to enter
- Complete all the required fields
- Upload your award entry document, along with any supporting evidence you feel will be of relevance to support your entry
- Make payment for your award entry (excluding start up award & innovative individual categories)
- You will receive a confirmation email once your entry has been received
Please note – once your award entry has been submitted the entry is final and you will not be able to make amendments/changes. Before submitting your entry we advise that you check that all relevant details have been included and you are completely satisfied with your entry before you click the submit button!
Only one entry from a company representative per category (for same campaign) will be accepted and put forward for the shortlist.
Attending the MI Awards reception
All MI EXPO delegates, sponsors and speakers will be invited to attend the awards hosted at the end of the conference. The winners and shortlist will be announced during an awards drinks ceremony.
